چکیده

In this article, a dual-frequency control method for regulating the output power in class-E resonant dc–dc converters has been introduced. As standard on – xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">off or other recently proposed controls, approach is based on ability of converter to alternately operate high- and low-power state. The solution twofold advantage: one hand, soft-switching capabilities (i.e., zero-voltage zero-voltage-derivative switching) are preserved both operating states; it possible reduce zero transient time required switch from state one. most straightforward consequence possibility increase very large values frequency at which two states switched, up same order magnitude as main switching converter. way, additional ripple introduced by can be decreased negligible value. validated measurements prototype between 4 8 MHz 500 kHz.

eGaN® FETs in High Frequency Resonant Converters

Distributed power systems are prevalent in telecommunications, networking, and high-end server applications and generally utilize a 48 V bus voltage adopted from the telecom industry. From the 48 V bus, a number of isolated point of load (POL) converters power the end loads, with isolation being required for safety. The traditional distributed power architecture (DPA), shown in figure 1(a), use...

DC-DC Resonant converters with APWM control

An asymmetrical pulse width modulated (APWM) dc-dc converters operating at constant frequency was simulated using Pspice software package. This converter incorporates constant frequency operation in a basic soft switching half bridge topology without any additional component and complexity. In this paper operation of converter configuration with capacitive filter in the output is discussed. A 5...

Time-shift Control of LLC Resonant Converters

This paper describes a new control technique for resonant converters that outperforms the direct frequency control (DFC) method implemented in all today’s commercially available control ICs. When applied to LLC resonant converters, the resulting dynamic behavior is that of a low-Q second-order system or that of a first-order system, depending on the operating conditions. Thus closing the contro...
